Why anime is better than American cartoons

I know some diehard fans of The Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Laboratory, Swat kats are going to be REALLY mad at me for the title. But how I wish you had watched some anime before being judgemental! Although there are many quality cartoons out there, anime has always had that extra brownie point!

Anime is more natural

Anime has more creativity, finesse in art and emotions to convey. The characters portray the real life emotions, and are very relatable. The stories are engaging, dramatic, humorous, intimidating and a mix of all good feelings. And the most important part is it’s OST (Original Sound Track); it is very soul-wrenching indeed! Geez, Japan has got some of the best musicians score music for every anime. It truly transcends you to another world. MAGICAL!

Although Japanese is a foreign language to non-Japanese anime fans across the world, it’s voice dubbing is a class apart! A lot of emotions are conveyed beautifully via the voices, and the English subtitles are rarely taken into notice at all!

Cartoons are more inclined to entertainment and light humour. Anime slowly consumes, and transports you to that fantasy world. You end up becoming a character in the series (sounds a little creepy I know, but it’s NOT!) Also, you will not be able to wait for the next episode to be aired! It affects you deeply and builds an unbreakable emotional bond.

The bottom line…

While Dexter in the laboratory is always busy dealing all the drama with Dee Dee and Popeye fighting Bluto for Olive, Inu Yasha (a very famous anime character) fights the evil demons to save his friends and the world from being devoured by the black hole. It is quiet evident that anime offers a complete package. And also, the characters become more familiar to you in a short span of time, whereas cartoons fail in connecting with its viewers.
