Need to sanitise my hands and thoughts

Reading Time: < 1 minute

“Wash your hands”

“Don’t keep your hands on eyes, nose and mouth”

“Close your mouth while you cough”

Mom never stopped telling me about these instructions when I was a kid.

Little did I know that the whole world would be stressing on them today.

“Staying away from people is one of the safety precautions” – WHO

But nobody believed when introverts told the same.

I wish somebody could fund me on hand sanitiser business now, for I swear

mine would kill remaining 0.1 % germs that Dettol failed to do.

Looks like I’ll have to wear the mask along with impostors and deceitful people now,

but I could at least pretend I’m that hot surgeon from Grey’s Anatomy.

The pandemic has stepped the game up on personal hygiene,

the game that’s more vital than Olympics now.

Common cold will never be the same again.

I’ll have to forcefully control my cough after I accidentally smell the peppers in my food at a restaurant,

and people may think I’m a creep when I make that silly face while trying to stop my cough.

I don’t want to be put into isolation when I’m already alone in this modern world.

It’s about time to wake up and be cautious of environment,

and people between 6 feet distance.

What a start to the year!

Truly a decade to never forget – 2020.
