1. It is okay to NOT be an Engineer, a Doctor or an IT professional in a fancy MNC like Tcs, Wipro, etc.
2. It is okay to NOT be like Ambani and earn crores at 25 years old.
3. It is okay to NOT be like your neighbours’ “kids”.
4. It is okay to be a daughter and NOT be married at 25 years old.
5. It is okay to NOT be fair and lovely/handsome.
6. It is okay to NOT fall in love with someone of same religion/caste/race.
7. It is okay to NOT be interested in arranged marriages.
8. It is okay to NOT stay in an unhappy marriage and choose to part ways.
9. It is okay to NOT always score 100 percent and be the class topper.
10. And, it is okay to NOT be perfect.

Another major problem of Indian parents that indirectly contributes hugely to patriarchy is that they teach their daughters to put marriage above everything else.
